From July 2013 to August 2014, Brad Prince acted as MMM Group’s Supervising Principal for this $102 Million road and rail improvement project, which included a 90 m railway overpass structure and approximately 1.5 km of retaining wall construction to heights of 16 m to accommodate road relocation for rail expansion. During this time, Brad was an integral part of the Port Metro Vancouver’s Management Oversight Team, providing project advisory services and guidance to the Project Manager. In August 2014, Brad took over as the Project Manager with responsibility for the balance of the project.
Brad administered multiple design and construction contracts, coordinated with project stakeholders, and regularly reported on project progress, issues, risks, and financials. The project was completed in March 2015 and has since achieved Envision ‘Platinum’ accreditation for sustainability and won numerous awards including the ACEC-BC People’s Choice Award, the APEGBC Peak of Excellence Award, and the ITE Bill Curtis Award for Transportation Project of the Year.
